Ellen Powers is an Advisor at Grey Fox Wealth Advisors. She formerly founded Ascend Investment Management in 2006 and joined Grey Fox Wealth in 2022.

Ascend, with $90 million of assets under management, was an independent fiduciary advisory firm that managed assets and financial plans for 76 families. Before founding Ascend, Ellen managed assets at Davidson Capital Management, Bank of America, and Mellon Bank. Prior to Mellon Bank, she worked at American International Group on the Iberian Peninsula with European asset managers to create specialized mutual funds. She began her career in financial management as a stockbroker in Philadelphia at E.F. Hutton and Co.

Ellen is an enthusiastic volunteer in Lewes, DE. She serves as board treasurer of the Lewes Public Library and an at-large board member of the Village Volunteers. Ellen is also an active member of the Sea Colony Tennis Club.
Ellen holds a Bachelor's degree in history from Brown University and a Masters degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance and investments from The George Washington University. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a postgraduate professional qualification awarded by the CFA Institute.

Ellen lives in Lewes, DE and also maintains close ties to colleagues and friends in the Wilmington and Southern PA areas.
